A virtual native of Phoenix, I earned my degree in The Humanities from Arizona State University. After co-founding a private k-12 school where I taught Latin, Science, and Art History, I pivoted into a new career as a photographer. All the while, however, I found myself entangled with depression, anxiety, and undiagnosed Complex PTSD. I sought help from a prescribing psychiatrist. There were some initial benefits for the first year. But when the Prozac stopped working, a long trek through multiple combos of prescriptions ensued. Across 25 years of pharmaceuticals I found some relief here and there. But this medicated life eventually began to feel too compressed. I started to look into the Psychedelic Renaissance of the last decade or so. When decriminalized zones for psychedelics began to emerge, I decided to give them a chance. I carefully stepped down off of 25 years of anti-depressants, anxiety meds, and mood stabilizers with plant medicine workshops, and replaced them with overnight seminars, two coaches, microdosing (the misunderstood Amanita Muscaria mushroom), talk therapy, meditation, a bodyworker, yoga, travel, art supplies, community, and integration. And I’m so glad I made the shift!

I have a newfound appreciation for the power of community and relationships, particularly the power of talking and listening with intention. I’ve felt a calling to share what I’ve learned with others. The next step was more formal education and experience. This culminated in my becoming a certified integration coach over the course of a year. In addition to integration after journeys/experiences, I help people prepare for what to expect along the journey, equip them with some tools and navigation methods, and I emphasize harm reduction practices.
